If you do not have the insurance we are in-network with, most insurance companies will provide out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. If you're interested in finding out what your potential out-of-network benefits are, please send me an email and I will check for you.​

I have partnered with TherapyNotes to submit claims on your behalf which helps you obtain your reimbursement quicker and easier.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE CONSULT CALL?

The consult call is an opportunity to determine how your therapist will fit into your journey with therapy. You can expect we will ask you about your goals, why you're seeking support at this time, and also tell you a little bit about how we work. From there, you may ask any questions you may have about therapy, services, or billing.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?

The first session of therapy gives us the chance to create a relationship and gauge how you would like treatment to be tailored to you. This can include speaking about your background information as well as your goals, hopes for therapy, and obstacles you are facing. During this time it is beneficial to determine if we will be a good fit. We will also talk about what has and has not worked in the past so that we can skip 'reinventing the wheel.' ​​

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

We are in-network with Aetna at this time. If this is not your contracted insurance, many insurance companies will provide out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. This means you would pay the session rate upfront and then receive up 50-100% reimbursement. Please consult this resource or me for any questions about reimbursement for out-of-network providers. You can check your benefits with Nirvana's insurance tool. ​

DO YOU OFFER A SLIDING SCALE?

Yes, I offer a sliding scale program for new and current clients. I only have a limited number of sliding scale spots and, unfortunately, as of right now I am currently not accepting sliding scale clients. Please inquire about other lower-cost referrals if needed.​​
