Trauma-informed yoga is an approach that integrates traditional yoga practices with an understanding of how trauma impacts the mind and body. Unlike mainstream yoga, which often focuses on physical flexibility or strength, trauma-informed yoga prioritizes safety, choice, and self-awareness. It recognizes that trauma is stored in the body and that certain postures, breathing techniques, or cues can unintentionally trigger distress. By creating a supportive and non-judgmental space, trauma-informed yoga helps individuals reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe and empowering.

With introducting trauma-informed yoga into the healing process, individuals can experience profound benefits beyond physical well-being. It helps regulate the nervous system, reduce symptoms of anxiety and PTSD, and cultivate a deep sense of inner peace. Over time, this practice supports the release of stored trauma, promotes self-trust, and fosters a healthier relationship with both the body and mind.
